Exhibit explanation and information service using the intelligent robot QI
QI is a clever exhibit guide robot which provides cultural information on exhibits and displays using voice recognition and autonomous movement functions. It provides multi-lingual service (English, Chinese, and Japanese) to support foreign visitors, and sign-language support for the hearing impaired.
If you encounter a display guidance robot during viewing, try talking to it by saying, “Hi, QI.” These robots, which are capable of conversation, are not only able to explain the cultural artifacts in the museum’s collection and the exhibits, but also Jeju tourism information and general conversation.
We are also preparing a children’s display guidance course to offer age-appropriate explanations of the items in the permanent displays.
The intelligent display information robot QI is one of our core smart museum technologies, and utilizes artificial intelligence, voice conversation, autonomous movement, and big data technologies.
