If you look inside the stone wall, you can see a variety of everyday items made from stone that were used by the people of Jeju. Take a close look at the millstone in the middle. In the Jeju language, a millstone is called “go-re”. Millstones with a base reaching high up into the air were called “pulgo-re”. Apparently, “go-re” were used to grind dry grains, and “pulgo-re” were used to grind grains that had been soaked in water.
