47. Sigwon, Answer Sheet for Civil Service Examination
This is a manuscript of Oh Jeom’s (1764-1834) Civil Service Examination answer submissions. Oh placed third on the classics exam in 1786. In 1792, he made a manuscript copy of his answers that he submitted for Higher Examination. Oh served under King Jeongjo and King Cheoljong and was well-known as a master calligrapher of the Honam area. The current signage at Gyeseongsa, a Confucian academy in Jeju, bears his calligraphy.
