Memory from the Underground - Excavations in the decade in Jeju Island

2009.6.30(Mon)~8.30(Sun)
Memory from the Underground - Excavations in the decade in Jeju Island Jeju National Museum is holding its second 2009 special exhibition on the theme of Memory from the Underground - Excavations in the decade in Jeju Island. The exhibition, which features a variety of relics from a wide range of periods, has been conceived to publicize the museum's archeological researches and their contribution to the promotion of Jeju's culture. From the Paleolithic Period to the Joseon Period, Jeju's relics are exhibited by theme. Though many are broken, corroded and seemingly trivial, they form part of the long history of the island. These relics help to connect our remote past to the present. It is hoped that the exhibition will clarify certain archeological issues concerning Jeju and offer precious insights into Korean archeological research.
